The market is proud to have some of our region’s best seasonal produce represented with them. Shopping at the farmers market means you get high quality, freshly harvested produce, in season, in a traditional, market square atmosphere. It also means that you are directly supporting the farmers of the Bendigo region, and thus contributing to the local community. The Bendigo Community Farmers Market is accredited with the Victorian Farmers Market Association (VFMA). Accreditation means that as a shopper, you can have confidence that the person you are transacting with is the person who grew or made the produce. As a regional farmers market, they are required to have a minimum of 75 per cent accredited stallholders. They generally operate well over that benchmark. The Balgownie Grape Stomp
Step into the vineyard, roll up your sleeves, and get ready for an unforgettable hands-on winemaking experience at Balgownie Bendigo. This is your chance to be part of a time-honoured tradition—harvesting grapes and stomping them barefoot, just as generations of winemakers have done before. The day begins at 10:30am with a coffee and croissant before our winery team takes you into the vineyard to hand-pick our prized Shiraz grapes. After a morning among the vines, settle in for a grazing-style lunch on the deck, paired with a glass of estate wine. Then comes the main event—the Stomp. Kick off your shoes, step into the barrel, and feel the grapes beneath your feet as you help craft the next vintage. It's messy, it’s lively, and it’s an experience you won’t forget. To mark the occasion, every guest will receive a keepsake bottle of the 2025 Shiraz, delivered once bottled in 2026. Entry Cost All tickets $105 - per person Event held in 46 Hermitage Road, Maiden Gully, VIC 3551

Image for Frida Kahlo: In her own image
Frida Kahlo: In her own image
Exclusive to Bendigo Art Gallery. Frida Kahlo: In her own image presents an intimate view of one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century. This exclusive exhibition features Kahlo’s personal belongings, clothing, make-up, accessories, and medical items, on loan from the Museo Frida Kahlo in Mexico for the first time in Australia. Sealed in a bathroom for 50 years after Kahlo’s death, in her cherished family home, La Casa Azul, this precious collection’s rediscovery sheds new light on Kahlo’s carefully crafted appearance. In her vibrant clothing, dramatic use of make-up and adornment, and richly decorated medical prostheses, Kahlo constructed a captivating public image which addressed geopolitical issues of her time, cultural and social identity, and her own body. Following childhood polio and a near fatal accident at the age of 18, Kahlo boldly addressed her disabilities through her dress and on the canvas. Through photographs, documents, and personal mementoes, the exhibition considers the personal, political, philosophical, and artistic influences which shaped Kahlo’s distinctive worldview and informed her groundbreaking creative output. The exhibition also examines Kahlo’s ascent to become one of the most heavily mythologised and revered cult figures of our time, and her profound legacy in art and society. Proudly presented as part of Bendigo International Collections. Entry Cost All tickets $20 - Children under five are free. Family Ticket (two adults and two children) $90 Event held in 42 View Street, Bendigo, VIC 3550
