  The Dja Dja Wurrung Clans Aboriginal Corporation are a Traditional Owner Group entity that has fought to be recognised as the Traditional Owners of djandak, in Central Victoria. Through self-determination, Dja Dja Wurrung People achieved Registered Aboriginal Party status, and signed our Recognition and Settlement Agreement with the State Government on the 28 March 2013.

  Description

  The Taungurung clans are the Traditional Owners of a large part of Central Victoria and represents the interests of the clans of the Taungurung — Benbendore-balluk, Buthera-balluk, Gunung-Yellam, Leuk-willam, Moomoomgoonbeet, Nattarak-balluk, Ngurai-illam-balluk, Nira-balluk, Tenbringnellams, Walledriggers, Waring-illam-balluk, Warrinillum, Yaran-illam, Yirun-ilam-balluk, and Yowung-illam-balluk. The Taungurung people are many clans sharing one language and deep spiritual connection with Country. Taungurung Land and Waters Council was registered 16 July 2009 as the Registered Aboriginal Party that represents the interests of the Taungurung people and serves to uphold their interests with respect to culture and country.
