What Our Students Say
-
Thoroughly enjoyed this class, the teacher was fabulous with a quick run down of each component at the start and then plenty of time to practice by yourself whilst she floated through the class providing individualised feedback. Highly recommend

-
It’s rare to find a great teacher who has the gift of teaching without you realising you are being taught, and who makes it enjoyable and ignites a genuine love of the subject in the students through their own enthusiasm!

-
Was a really great and informative class. Rhain was very patient and helpful and all the staff were very friendly. Also so lovely to support more queer owned businesses. Thanks again!

-
In short, Yes. You just neeed to let us know in your booking and we will contact you before the class if we have any concerns.
In general our lunches easily cater for Vegans, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Coeliacs, Vegetarians, Pescatarians, FODMAP and Pregnant woman. But please send us a curve ball as we love making our catering partner think outside the box!
-
No. We love kids but our weekend workshops are often a chance for Adults to escape their children and maybe have an adult convo or two.
There also starts to be a whole lot of issues of child safety. We accept 16+ with the understanding that they are there for an adult workshop. All of our Tutors do have WWC checks.
It’s not about how good at art or how mature your child is, this is a firm rule.
-
Unfortunately, no. Only those with a ticket are permitted to attend the workshops due to space, insurance and to ensure that our instructors can focus on those that are paying for their time. Carers and Interpreters are allowed
-
Absolutely, if you require a support person or interpreter to comfortably and safely access our workshops. We do ask that you tell us at the time of booking so that we ensure that there is enough room in the classroom for the additional person and if they wish to participate in the workshop they are required to purchase a ticket.
If you require a NDIS invoice please contact us and we can organise it for you.
-
YES! Every person in the world has access needs, and we do our best to ensure that we can meet as many people’s requirements as possible within our limitations. We are a Disabled Owned business and are working as hard as we can to make Art and Craft accessible to all.
The best way to ensure we meet your specific requirements is to send us an email and let us know what symptoms you are worried about navigating, what adaptations you might require or what mobility aid you will be using on the day so we can work with you to make your experience the best possible.
There is accessibility information at the bottom of every listing and general information on our accessibility page. That being said, we can’t find a way to fund a disability bathroom, there is a map to the nearest on our accessibility page, and are open to any suggestions on this.
-
Yes, but nothing is without risk.
“Lead is a toxic substance that can affect people of any age. It is especially harmful to children, pregnant women and unborn babies. Lead accumulates in your body, so even small amounts can pose a health hazard over time.”
That being said, it is actually most harmful when it oxides and creates dust. You will be using new lead without oxidisation, you will also have the option of wearing gloves.
The next harmful stage is as fumes, we offer everyone n95 masks and have soldering irons that are set at the lowest effective heat to reduce the release of fumes.
Rhain grew up in the leadlight studio from 18 months old with Ettore being a stay at home dad. She has been helping out in the studio her whole life and working fulltime in the studio for the 10 years. She gets her lead tested every year and her levels are below the safety level for pregnant woman and toddlers.
Some pregnant woman work with lead, others eat blue cheese, sushi and coffee. We don’t judge just speak to your doctor about what is best for you.
-
We can run private events of up to 15 people on a flexible schedule depending on the chosen workshop. Where there are more than this we can split the group in two and run different options or sequential sessions.
Unfortunately, we cannot have alcohol in the Glass Studio for insurance reasons or topless waiters!?!
We have a range of prices depending on the activity and length of time, Email Us for details
-
Just bring yourself and your questions!
Some activities require you to be able tie up long hair and to wear closed toe shoes.
-
There is an all day Car Park across the road, the entrance is off Simpson Street.
-
Class sizes are kept small to ensure that everyone is able to get individualised instruction. Most classes have a maximum of between 6-10 people.
-
No, our workshops are set so every student has the same kit so the teacher knows how the materials interact and you all end up with the amazing results that our students all get at the end of the day.
-
We offer a Bring -a-Friend discount, but no other discounts on our workshops. We Never put Workshops on Sale, we don’t make art kits optional and won’t remove the cost of lunch.
