About
Explore three rare and aged fortified wines from Kies Family Wines, paired perfectly with three individual Barossa Country Biscuits shortbreads, made from age-old German recipes.
*Explore a Fortified (formerly Port) and Shortbread pairing
*Indulge in three rare and aged Tawny and Muscat wines (some average 40+ years old)
*Paired beautifully with the age old, local Barossa Valley German shortbread recipes
*Held in the Dedication Room at Kies Family Wines, which boasts 180° views of the Barossa Ranges and is nestled amongst the old vines of the Kies Estate
You will enjoy a 45-minute tasting as your wine host talks you through the history of the Barossa Valley.
The three museum fortifieds you will enjoy, including a Tawny which has been aging in the same barrel since 1962, and the German recipe shortbreads, baked from sourced recipes from Barossa Valley Omas, including an Eudunda German lady responsible for the excellent almond bread recipe, make for an ideal "history in a glass" experience.
Enjoy an afternoon of heritage, history and age old fortifieds today!
