Volunteer Driver Mentors

Would you like to support young people to learn to drive?  Can you spare an hour or more a week?

If so, we’d love you to join our team of volunteer driver mentors.  You will need to hold an open licence (min 12 months) and have or be willing to obtain a Blue Card (we can help you with this).  Student participation is assessed by a driving school to ensure competency and vehicles and comprehensive training is provided for mentors.

About

PCYC Braking the Cycle (BTC) is our volunteer driver mentor program designed to support learner drivers without access to a supervisor or registered vehicle to complete their logbook hours. The aim of the program is to provide young people with increased employment opportunities, community connection and driver education.

Participants are matched with a specific volunteer from our extensive and experienced driver mentor network. Mentors provide encouragement and help young people improve their self-esteem and develop positive road safety attitudes.
