Enlighten Film Festival

Nan Tien Temple in Wollongong, the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere, is hosting Enlighten, its first Buddhist film festival. Sandra Pires, award winning film director and producer has curated nine national and international films with a focus on Buddhist stories from Asian and western perspectives. Films are shown over three days in the afternoon giving you the freedom to explore the nearby beaches, markets, bush walks, local cafes and restaurants. You are welcome to join the Guided Tour of the Temple, free early morning meditation and Tai Chi with resident monastics, and experience noble silence during lunch for an added retreat-like weekend cultural escape.
