Grab your kilt and get to Maclean, the Scottish Town in Australia. Walk among the clans that invade the town for the Highland Gathering every year from around the country. Witness a host of top-class Scottish musical, cultural and sporting performances in the picturesque Maclean. On Friday, piping competitions take place non-stop at different venues, as well as drumming events held throughout the town, alongside them will be street concerts featuring dancers, pipers and singers. Bands parade through the town on Saturday morning before the fun moves on to the Maclean Showgrounds for the main event with pipe bands, dancing and traditional Highland games, including the Caber Toss, to entertain crowds during the day.
